ARC Raiders! Patch 1.23.0 isn’t flashy – no new weapons, no map overhauls. But if you’ve been frustrated by random double‑damage deaths, anvil splitter abusers, or barricades on ziplines, this patch is for you. We’ve gone through every fix. Here’s what actually changes your raids.

🛠️ Raiders Patch 1.23.0 – Exploits Killed, QoL Improved

1. What’s New in the Shop – Vanguard Set

Before the fixes, the obvious addition: Vanguard Set is now available in the shop. No details on pricing or contents, but expect cosmetics or gear bundles. If you’re a collector or want to look fresh while looting, check it out.

Our take: Probably just a cosmetic drop. But if it includes functional gear, we’ll update our recommendations.

2. Gameplay Fixes – Exploits and Annoyances Squashed

This patch targets several bugs that directly affected combat and movement.

IssueFix
Trigger ’Nade double damageTwo grenades detonating together no longer deal triple damage (now behaves as intended)
Items not using as soon as possibleHolding fire while swapping now works correctly
Weapons/items firing automaticallyFixed – no more accidental mag dumps
Shoulder swap camera stuckCamera now properly swaps sides
Anvil splitter exploitCan no longer be used without dispersion penalty (huge for fairness)
Barricades on ziplinesNo longer allowed – closes a cheesy defensive tactic

3. Map Fixes – Stella Montis & Buried City

Two maps received important polish.

MapFix
Stella Montis (Medical Research)Players could get set on fire outside the locked room – fixed
Stella MontisSpot where players could be shot through the floor – fixed
Buried CityMissing staircases restored
Buried City (Locked Gate)Code printer interaction fixed

Watermark Removed 2026 04 09 T064209.956

Our take: Getting shot through the floor is infuriating. That fix alone makes the patch worthwhile. The missing staircases in Buried City? How did that happen? But hey, now you won’t randomly fall into the void.

4. Close Scrutiny Mode Fixes

Close Scrutiny seems to be a special mode (likely PvE or hybrid). Several AI and interaction fixes.

IssueFix
Rocketeers & Vaporizers idle movementChanged movement speed so they don’t behave strangely while idling
Reconnected players not seeing Assessor platformsFixed – no more invisible platforms
Vaporizers getting stuck near AssessorFixed
Assessor not flying back to orbitFixed
Breach platforms breaking when spamming promptsFixed – Assessor can now return to orbit properly
Idle ARC despawningARC summoned by Assessor now leave and despawn if idle too long
Pinging Assessor on mapNow reflects actual location
Player getting stuck jumping between platforms on AssessorFixed
Assessor and Probe landing in same spot (Buried City)Fixed

5. Other Fixes – UI, Visuals, Stability

IssueFix
Weapon upgrade UI showing incorrect tiersNow displays correct upgrade level
Fully transparent helmet visorsFixed – you can now see your helmet again
Visual effects causing crashesMultiple fixes; still investigating other crash cases

⭐ Verdict from the BuyCarry Team

Patch 1.23.0 is a maintenance‑style update – no new content, but it cleans up some genuinely annoying bugs and closes a few nasty exploits.

The highlights:

  • Anvil splitter exploit fix – this was likely being abused by sweaty players. Now dispersion applies correctly, so skill matters again.
  • Trigger ’Nade triple damage – this explains some random one‑shots. Glad it’s fixed.
  • Map exploits (shooting through floor, missing stairs, fire outside rooms) – basic polish that should have been there earlier, but better late than never.
  • Close Scrutiny mode fixes – if you play this mode, the Assessor and platform bugs were probably run‑enders. Now they’re not.

What’s missing? No weapon balancing, no new gameplay features. But that’s fine – not every patch needs to shake the meta.

Our advice:

  • Update your game and check the Vanguard Set if you care about cosmetics.
  • If you were abusing the anvil splitter exploit… well, time to learn real aim.
  • Report any remaining crashes – the devs are still investigating.

BuyCarry take: We’re happy to see exploit fixes. If you need help mastering the new fair meta or grinding through Close Scrutiny, our Pro's are ready.

Patch rating: 7/10 – solid cleanup, no hype, but necessary.

🔥 Patch 1.23.0 cleans up the game – let our boost team carry you through the fairer, harder meta!
