Crimson Desert Iron Eagle Guide – Location, Puzzle, and How to Tame the Robot Bird

Adventurers! Learn how to find the Iron Eagle at Hawkstone Ruins, solve the 5:00 AM clock puzzle, and tame the robot bird with a Platinum Bar. Pearl Abyss added this mechanical pet in Update 1.05.00. No shooting required – just a riddle, timing, and a rare metal bar. Here’s your complete step‑by‑step guide.

Pearl Abyss added a new robotic pet to Crimson Desert with Update 1.05.00: the Iron Eagle. Unlike the Legendary Phoenix (which you have to kill), this mechanical bird requires patience, a riddle solution, and a Platinum Bar – no violence needed. This guide covers exactly where to find the Iron Eagle, how to solve the clock puzzle, what time to visit, and how to tame it without breaking the machine.

🦅 Crimson Desert: How to Get the Iron Eagle – Location, Puzzle & Taming Guide

1. Iron Eagle Location – Hawkstone Ruins

DetailInformation
RegionEastern Delesyia
Exact spotHawkstone Ruins (south of Marni’s city)
Perched onA rock spire (a steel bird sculpture)

Map

The Iron Eagle doesn’t move until you solve the puzzle. It sits atop a tall rock pillar at the ruins. You can’t miss it – it’s the largest bird in the area.

“I like how the pet is called an Iron Eagle, but the location description refers to the sculpture as a steel bird and the place itself is called Hawkstone Ruins.”

2. The Puzzle – Reading the Riddle

Beneath the Iron Eagle’s tailfeathers, you’ll find rotating gears next to a plaque. Interact with the plaque to read a riddle:

“Step beyond the edge of darkness and grasp the handle of dawn to awaken the slumbering steel. Offer the silver shards flowing through the Sotdae, and claim the Wings of Steel.”

The machine to the left is a clock. The riddle refers to a specific time: 5:00 AM. At that exact hour, a hole opens in the center of the mechanism, allowing you to reach inside.

Clock

No special gear or abilities are needed – just wait until 5:00 AM in the game’s day/night cycle, walk up to the gears, and you’ll get a prompt to activate the Iron Eagle. It will then spring to life and fly away.

3. How to Tame the Iron Eagle – Do Not Shoot!

Once activated, the Iron Eagle flies in a wide circle around the ruins. It may also pass over nearby areas like the Sanctum of Oblation or Marni Mechworks, but always returns.

DoDon’t
Wait for it to landShoot it – that’s “Assault” and will break it
Place a Platinum Bar in a Sotdae of BondUse other food items (pigeons will steal them)
Put the bar directly in its flight pathLeave the area while it’s circling

“Unlike with the Phoenix, do not shoot the Iron Eagle. That is considered Assault and you will break it.”

A single Platinum Bar raises trust to 100 instantly. Make sure the Sotdae of Bond is positioned where the Iron Eagle lands – otherwise it won’t descend.

Some players report using Mercury (5 trust per piece), but Platinum is much less hassle by the time you reach Eastern Delesyia.

4. How to Get Platinum – Recipe Locations

You cannot craft Platinum yourself; you need a Witch. First, you must find the recipe.

💬 BuyCarry Team’s Take

At BuyCarry, we help players collect legendary pets, mounts, and rare items without the grind. The Iron Eagle is a fun, puzzle‑based addition – much less frustrating than the Phoenix (no immortality bugs).

What we like:

  • The riddle and time‑based mechanic are creative and rewarding.
  • No combat means no risk of breaking the pet.
  • Platinum is endgame material, so this pet naturally feels like a mid‑to‑late game achievement.

What we’d improve:

  • The 5:00 AM window is tight; if you miss it, you wait a full day.
  • Finding the Platinum recipe can be confusing without a guide (which is why we’re here).

For our clients:

  • Need Platinum but don’t want to farm the materials? We can craft it for you or farm the bars.
  • Struggling with the clock puzzle? Our boosters can log in, time the 5:00 AM activation, and tame the bird for you.
  • Want a full pet collection (Iron Eagle, Phoenix, White Bear)? We offer bundle services.

Final verdict: The Iron Eagle is a must‑have for collectors and a refreshing non‑combat legendary. The puzzle is fun, the reward is cool, and the effort is reasonable. If you don’t have the time, call us – we’ll get it done.
